Estate Management

Owners of large estates will wish to know what heritage assets they have on their estate so that they can avoid inadvertently damaging them, but also to explore opportunities for future management, development and options for grant aid to carry out activities such as bracken control, tree felling and thinning, gorse control and drystone wall restoration. We have carried out surveys of estates, or part of estates including most National Trust properties in the Northumbria region and many monuments in the North York Moors National Park, as part of a wider monument management scheme. Estate agents may also prefer to commission statements of significance, parkland restoration plans or conservation management plans as appropriate.
